Klosterschänke - Table reservation

Our visit to the Eberbach monastery was very successful. If the monastery also had something to “clean” renovated. Taste. Parts of the film “The Name of the Rose” were shot here. The Vinothek of the winery Eberbach can be seen. Here we were a little shopping. Our private wine tasting for home. You can try the wines at a counter, we prefer to do this at home and without a promille limit. On the beautiful well maintained property is located, in the separate building, the monastery pots. At noon we had already eaten, but the cups impressed us very much. Therefore, and because there is no rating yet, I would like to briefly describe our positive impression. In the early afternoon we entered the garden terrace of the Klosterschänke. From 11.30 a.m. to 22.00 a.m. hot kitchen is served throughout. All tables occupied, there was something going on! At the same time, a young employee welcomed us. Certainly, we could join a table. With this we have no problem but saw beautiful wooden benches on the edge of the terrace. We just wanted to have a drink, why then block the seats. We asked if we could order at the bank? Of course. Garden terrace So we had a wonderful place over the whole drive. Family tours, baptism, birthday, hikers, excursionists. Everything is assembled with child and dog. A monastery beer bright for my husband and a dry Riesling of the monastery winery for me we enjoy at our shady bank and have everything in sight. The men of the service team dressed classically discreetly. The ladies in the service make the male guests happy in their colorful conductors. All rain, attentive and more than friendly. The dogs get their water bowl served. Even we on our own chosen “Büßerbank” are asked if everything fits and we still have wishes. The dishes served at the tables around us almost make appetite again. Ordinary portions, nicely dressed, all looks very good and also so. And the guests look happy. After the numbers of our drinks we go to the beautiful restaurant with a brewhouse atmosphere. Also here everything very well maintained and nicely decorated. We are amazed at how many guests are still present here. For Papa there is still a dark monastery beer in the bottle as a carrier and we move on. We would definitely like to come back here for dinner! Such nice gastronomy with great service we would not have expected here, so it is worth this little contribution. Since we haven't eaten, I decide for only 4 wellness*stars.
