a year and a half ago we were already in the charming ifen hotel and visited an evening the kilian stuba. eating was already very good last time, but the level could actually be increased again. the 5-course menu did not address us at all on the paper – but the following food was heavenly. sascha kemmerer played with the tasteful, colors, consistency that it was a true joy. an eating that has always conjured me a broad smile into the face and made me just enjoy all around. the sauces were incredibly intense in taste, the combinations surprising, challenging but always totally fitting.The service was impeccable. after personal greeting by restaurant manager roland gunst, the service team looked after us inconspicuously but very attentively. a wonderfully coordinated, but not very cheap wine tasting tour.Everything in all a completely successful, enjoyable and simply beautiful evening.
the reception is extremely friendly and accommodating as the service works quickly and accurately. the time sequence of the different courses within the large menu are well dimensioned. the kitchen works at a very high level and is classically oriented despite contemporary plate designs. all sauces show high craftsmanship, meat and fish are almost always cooked on the spot. the wine card is clear and offers mostly affordable growth. However, the dining room is not well shielded against the normal dining room of the hotel. so it's relatiw loud. the tables are also very narrow.
Der Engländer würde wohl 'flawless ' sagen. Aufmerksame, freundliche Bedienung, gediegenes Ambiente, erstklassige Küche. Meinem mäßiggeschulten Eindruck nach zumindest bei unserem Besuch ganz oben im Einsterne Bereich. Ich persönlich würde dafür auch einen Umweg fahren. Z.B. aus Oberstdorf lohnt sich die Anreise GANZ sicher. Wie in Urlaubshotels üblich, Smartphone zockende Sprösslinge, die sich in den McDonalds über die Landesgrenze wünschen aber hey so ist das eben.
not only the service in the kilian stuba is exceptional, friendly, courteous and first-class, even eating can only delight. the compilation of the dishes is simply grandiose. here you can just remember the evening with a ray in the face.
