Went to the music fiesta yesterday with friends who were visiting La Marina for the first time. Whilst the music was good sitting in the sunshine with a glass of chilled wine can’t be bad, the service we experienced was well below par… bordering on confusion, inefficiency rudeness. The staff refused to serve our friends when they went inside to order drinks (trying to help staff) by saying ‘go over there’ pointing even tho they’d already been told to go to the bar they were at. Really embarrassing J’s. Not the welcome message that I’m sure you wish to portray. This culminated in a grey haired member of staff approaching our table at the end of the fiesta asking us to pay an extra €6 for the table of folk who’d sat next to us had already left!!! We were nothing to do with their booking had paid for our 8 person table when we made our booking. Definitely not a good experience we’ll be giving the next event a huge swerve going across the road to the Palm Tree Bar . Shame
This is one of the restaurants that we visit each time we come to La Marina. The menu seldom changes but that can be a good thing. I wanted the slow cooked beef but it was not ready so ordered the steak and kidney pudding instead. I was not disappointed with my choice as it was very tasty with tender beef inside. Our group all said their mains were very nice, ranging from fish,steak and liver. Good lively atmosphere here on a Saturday night, booking recommended as a couple were asked to come back over an hour later. We will be back and next time hope the slow cooked beef is on.
We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and thought it was good but the last visit the staff were scruffy and they did not seem to know who was allocated to which table. I do not need you to ask if everything is alright half a dozen times as I will tell you if it isn't. The menu seed to be as before but the flavour and standards seem to have evaporated. I hope this review does not put people off because it was very hot and this could be a one off. I still hope J,s will continue to be successful and will try it again one day.
Js Restaurant La Marina 834614674 We have been coming into the urb now for over 10 years and to be honest the food used to be ok but our meal this time was not very good. Service at the table was polite but the welcome was poor bordering on disinterested and rude. Quality of food wasn’t very good but to be honest we were made to feel unwelcome.
