"The staff was friendly and the place was clean, but the food wasn't very good, we left most of it. The pancakes tasted like raw flour, the biscuits could have been day old, the potatoes were brown and soggy burned with oil. The side of the fruit was great and the sausage links were pretty good. We ordered two mommas breakfast a ton of food we could have split up."

After having a decent breakfast months ago we decided to give them a try for lunch. BEWARE....it was the worst lunch we have had in 7 years since we moved here. From the grey slimy side salad, to raw served chop steak and reconstituted mashed potatoes, grease pit slimy and over burnt tasting fries nothing worse could have topped the Reuben sandwich. I have not had an aftertaste like that since chemotherapy. No joke. It had a very very very thin of one (1) piece of meat and was so soggy from oil it was like a oil drenched rye bread sandwich with something resembling 1000 island and kraut. I combined the meat from one half to the other so I could try and taste the meat but after 3 bites I said forget it. Good thing as they served my friend a raw chop steak. When we sent it back they microaaved the whole plate including the only eatable thing, the bread. If your a quart low on oil this place is for you. We will definitely NOT return. Waitress was friendly but not enough to jeopardize your intestines or tastebuds.

A must stop when in the Punta Gorda area. You know a place is good when you stop for breakfast at 1040 on a weekday morning and the place is packed. I was the first to sit down in my party of 3 and no sooner did I sit, was offered a cup of coffee. This always makes for a 5 star ranking when accompanied by good food. Our server Miranda was very pleasant and did a great job. The menu was vast and I went with the meat lovers omlette (comination of ham, bacon, sauasage, cheese, topped with country gravy and some kielbasa) with potatoes and whole weat toast. Food came out hot and fresh and was tasty. Would definatly check this place. Never stopped for lunch, but pretty sure it would be just as good.

Wow! Just wow! This place found out everything. The portions are enormous and everything tastes amazing! It's a good thing for my belly that I like to be in New Jersey or I'm there all the time! The prices are very fair and the service was good. There is a parking lot so parking is not a problem. It's a decent place, but it's gonna be full. What a way to start your day! Can wait until I get back to Florida next time. Maybe next time I try the Fat Boy Breakfast Challenge!

If you are craving that special breakfast and or lunch look no further than John Ski's, The menu is stacked, with all your favorites plus specials that that are conjured up by someone that knows how to feed people. The portion sizes are on another level, the price is right, and the service is simply wonderful. There is a reason why they are always busy and it shows that John and staff know what they are doing.
