Absolutely loved this place ... I went there for my first day (aka my birthday) in Sydney and they had a great service and a real vintage environment. It was nice to see all the cakes handmade and squeeze in front of them. I also loved it how both servers interacted with local customers ... Almost like it was normal to take coffee and cake every day. To say that it was a great coffee, as well as Melbourne coffee, I said and the vegan chocolate cake was delicious and really made me cake (like the red velvet they prepared). Grief
I called up the morning of and was able to come pick up a Devil's Food Chocolate Cake - They even iced it for me for no charge after I explained it was for a work colleague who wanted it iced (something I forgot to mention over the phone)Deliciously dense chocolate cake - Icing is a must. Amazing!
We happened to be walking past and decided to stop in for coffee and cake. Beautiful smooth coffee with no bitterness. Banana loaf fresh and light. Will be going back to try more of the delicious looking cakes and pastries.
I love Jillian's Cakeery! Favorite place to listen and snap a biscuit or a piece of cake! Wonderful location and the staff is so nice. Fun to watch that you treat your cupcakes and cakes while enjoying a afternoon!
