Excellent experience. Visited Dishoom quite a bit lately because it’s such a nice experience and the team at the Covent Garden base make a point of remembering who you are. Every experience has been consistent in terms of excellent food (tasty, decent portion sizes, spot-on temperature, nice tableware), customer service (friendly host, server, bar-person), value for money and ambience. A server accidentally spilled something on my friend’s jacket and was immediately on the case to resolve the concern. The host swung by straight away to handle the situation and explained the process where they’d pay the cost of dry cleaning. Very impressed by the swift response to this and felt at ease afterwards to continue enjoying our meal. I’d book ahead if you can because waiting times can vary (between 15mins to an hour). They offer free masala tea for those who wait in queue, which is a nice touch. It’s very noisy so be warned

the hotel is located in a beautiful street behind hamleys. that was waiting at 1 hour at 12:50 a.m. so we did wait. post that we had a nice table with a delicious smelling dishes zooming around. our server was friendly enough to explain the menu. I have the house black dal and garlic naan. the dead and the naam were made perfection. I also have the house tee (chai,) which is made just like the street side chai in every corner of india. I loved the aura and the food. the price we paid.

I 've been to about 7 of these around the world and this one was pretty standard. Nothing outstanding and nothing bad. In general for pub crawls the best recommendation I can give is to come on time to the first Bar/ meeting point and get to know your Crawl mates since arriving late will make it difficult to get to know the rest of the Crawlers

This is an excellent Parsi restaurant across the board. Must haves are the chai and keema pao. Their version of dal makhani and biryani (both jackfruit and chicken) are outstanding. My only recommendation would be to get a reservation in advance, as this place attracts a cult following.
