This is my first time at the restaurant, and I did enjoy the total experience overall. Of all the meals I enjoyed mine the tortellini in cream sauce the least, as it was a little too rich for my taste, and bordered on being salty. My other dining companion had tortellini and pesto sauce, which I thought was good, but she thought it was a bit too grainy for her. My partner had linguine Pescatore which was very good. The bruschetta they serve complementary at the beginning of the meal was delicious and we also had the antipasto salad and calamari, which was also stellar. I would come back here to try some of their other dishes. The Server did not tell us about the specials and we ended up seeing them by happenstance over the bar on the glass mirror and it would’ve been nice to have known them even though we wouldn’t have ordered those particular ones for the evening.
The food was average, we had to send one appetizer back because it was cold in the middle. The service was pleasant at first but then not very attentive towards the end. We like the location and history of this place.
Very friendly waitpersons and host. Support services were responsive. Defintly a neighborhood feel. Terrific bruschetta and zabaglioni. Lots of menu choices.
Jackson Gilmore is incredible. One of the places that reminds me of old sf values. Family owned, speedy, and delicious. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
