We had good beer, wine, cheese and pate in this simple, rustic, no frills bar. It feels as though it has been here forever with old photographs of what are probably the owner's grandparents on the whitewashed walls. Don't expect anything more than the basics and a limited tapas menu but be pleased that a simple, unchanged bar like this still exists amongst the tourist traps. Keep this one-man show in business for a while longer and let the younger generation see what bars used to be like.
The bar has a unique atmpsphere, hiding itself from the crowded centre of toledo. But our visit was not so pleasant, due to the mix of cheese we ordered. In a few word: poor quality. Camembert directly from the supermarket, plastic gruyere and bad roquefort. It was a shame, the location is interesting.
We came here on recommendation from a local and weren't disappointed. Tucked in an alley we found an authentic atmosphere, great service and enjoyable food. Especially the pâte is worth mentioning
Authentic, local bar. Great place to sample Vermut with friends. This is Spanish Vermut-very different from what we have in the US and really good.
