Poor service and quality of food, we were given hard bread and when asking the waiter for a replacement, we were told by the manager/owner that they had ran out of their restaurant’s bread and had to buy it from elsewhere. They said that they had completely ran out of the normal bread but a teenage couple who came shortly after us were given the bread that was perfectly normal. We had to ask for salad which was supposed to come with our Chicken Kofte and Shawarma meal, and they even forgot to give us tap water. Ordered the Istanbul Special Pide because the waiter claimed it would have mixed chicken and lamb, and to our surprise it turned out to be sausage instead… The manager was also very rude when we made it clear we didn’t get what we expected. We have been to this restaurant about 3 or 4 times but have never had any complaints till now. Also really disappointed with the smaller portions and boiled rice we had barely eaten anything remotely close to what we should’ve gotten and had to pay full price which is honestly insane. Would be giving no stars but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating you can give on TripAdvisor, definitely wouldn’t recommend Istanbul Restaurant overall.
We had another great meal here. When dropping son back to university. Great food and always a busy. Service very accommodating and welcoming and the Turkish tea and coffee great. Food is plentyful. Sharer selections are great. Highly recommend.
went in for a birthday lunch from the office, and was pleasantly surprised, excellent staff, excellent food , and very affordable, Claudia was our server and very professional and friendly, will definitely be going again
