Came here on the 4rd of august with my partner for dinner for her birthday I had the pork ribs which just melted they were awesome only boost to the ribs would maybe be a tiny bit of extra sauce and the jalepeno fries were awesome but lacking that spicy kick I was expecting but still delicious my partner had the lamb back strap was cooked perfect for my partners wants which was slightly under medium was a good hearty meal with nice use of the seasonal veg both meals looked great well presented oh and I forgot we got the garlic bread that had a light dusting of fresh Parmesan was a nice touch all round great dinner now to the service our server was Natalie she was extremely attentive and was very welcoming also helpedMe set up my partners suprise table decorations hovell tree should definatly keep her on staff made the whole experience even better and the happy hour was nice as well my partner had a tiramisu cocktail and absolutely loved it all n all was an amazing night thank you hovell tree inn we highly recommend and will be back
Visited here with family and we were very impressed by the friendly and professional staff. We asked for several entrees instead of main courses so we could sample lots of dishes, and nothing was too much trouble.Pork Belly and salmon entrees were outstanding, and the berry crumble dessert worth trying. A great place to visit and even better if you're already a guest at the hotel!
We're staying in the Best Western Hotel and decided to dine in-house without any expectations. We had an eye fillet steak, and a barraundi, and both meals were outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive and competent. Our desert, their signature "lava" dish, was fantastic. The Hovell Bar and Grill exceeded our expectations by a big margin.
We stayed at the Motel. Room was great and location terrific. The rate included breakfast at $21 per head, so we tried it 2 days in a row. Omelette was completely tasteless. Next day my wife had porridge - it wasn't cooked. We didn't go back for the rest of the breakfasts we had paid for - not good
