Enjoyed a really nice dinner with my wife and parents in law.Had the Highland burger, which was very nice!Wanted to have an IPA to the burger, which would have been a perfect match, but I was told that this beer was only available in the Craft Beer bar, and could unfortunately not be served in the Bier Garten!This was slightly disappointing, and I do think that they should be rethinking this policy!
It is pouring rain, so we decided to eat here in our hotel; glad we did. Restaurant is very charming. Servers were very nice. Food was a bit pricey, but it was very good. I had steak with green beans and roasted potatoes. Sounds plain, but there was herbed butter and seasoned sour cream. Good wine.
We shared a Steirische Brettljause - a splendid plate of meats, cheeses, gherkins, rilletes and a ball of something which turned out to be grated horseradish. Then the "frothy watercress soup" (€5.90) followed by "roast boar served with dumplings
We've been there once. Service is very slow, and the food is not the best I've ever had, both for quality and quantity. Also, it is a bit expensive considering what you get.
