Because of having been told by the Chedi Hotel that the bar was not accessible for non-residents of the hotel and for passers-by would only be open at noon time, we decided at 11.15 am on 1st January 2014 to get out of the freezing...cold and instead went to the Badus Hotel hotel opposite to the Chedi. The restaurant in this hotel is nothing extraordinary, but we were first impressed by the welcome and friendliness of the staff. Although most of the tables were reserved for a tour group, we were given a table and chose our dishes from the many varieties of food selections, i.e. One Cordon Bleu and one Lamb fillet with Prune Chutney and Spiced Rice. Both dishes were prepared to perfection in texture, taste and presentation. Last, but not least: the price cannot be topped anywhere. We can highly recommend this restaurant.
Stop for lunch on a rainy day and wait for a train connection. The restaurant is literally 2 minutes walk from the train station so there is a possibility not to eat at the train station. Very comfortable and pleasant, we had lunch special... this day it was soup with mixed grill of meat and frits and farmer Rösti. Service was fast and we had no problem coming back for our train connection. Very recommended.
As I mentioned in my review, the food was very good for breakfast and dinner. The service was quick and friendly.
