Shocking service no one seems to actually care to serve you and when they do it come with the most miserable manner like they cannot be bothered being there!! Will definitely not be back and will definitely not recommend! Please Sort out your service it’s letting you down to what could be a lovely local pub/restaurant! Dirty sticky tables ! No mint sauce for are lame roast dinner ! No sticky toffee pudding no chocolate fudge cake ! ! Food came out in drips and draped!! Absolutely spoilt ourSunday afternoon lunch .. No wine we asked for so we asked for another 20mins later no second choice !! Shocking customer service ! Everyone around us in tables was having to go up to the bar to get the attention of about 8 staff all standing around with not a care in the world ! All left very unhappy and will not be returning unfortunately.
After debating where we would treat ourselves to our tea we decided to go to the Horse Jockey. Needless to say we won’t be going back. The floor and table was sticky and it was cold in there. We should have trusted our instincts and left. We ordered our drinks and then our meals. The food was very disappointing, tasteless and very overpriced. Such a shame as over the last couple of years the managers/owners had done such a good job supporting the local community. I wish I’d read the recent reviews before we decided to go.
I come here regularly for drinks with friends but hadn’t been for food since the new owners took over… I’ve definitely been missing out! My niece and I had pasta bowls for lunch, hers was Halloumi and I had the Arrabbiata with chicken, wow it was spicy! Good size portions and best arrabbiata I’ve had in a long time, and this is a regular for me in many Italian restaurants. Would definitely recommend and will be dining here more often (when I can get in as it’s so busy! .
Went to the Horse and Jockey with my friends had a lovely meal and a few drinks. It was very busy. Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. They brought your drinks to the table which is very good .We have been to other places and they don't do this . Would definitely recommend this pub to all our friends and family.
