Absolutely disgusted with today's experience. Came here with my sister who has special needs with my daughter in tow who is It is hard work trying to accommodate both and always coming up with ideas for the two of them to get together, so...I thought a really good idea would be to come early on a Friday when it would be quiet to keep them both occupied. I'm aware adults don't usually go in the play areas but are also allowed in generally to supervise, and every other play area we have been to in the past have accommodated this fine no problem. Granted my sister is not a child but in her head her mental capacity is probably about aged and just wants to play like how a child would play. When we arrived we got told neither of us adults would be allowed in however this has never been an issue and at the time the place was vacant and we was the only ones there. Its hard to realise in this day and age that some places still can't make exceptions for people with special needs, they was apologetic about the situation but never the less couldn't accommodate us leaving my daughter to only be able to go in on her own resulting in her getting upset about the situation and not wanting to go in on her own and my sister being aggravated as to why she couldn't go either leaving me to just deal with the situation. Its hard work with a toddler full stop but having to then spoil the fun for my sister as well was disappointing. We was heading for a nice day out and in the end was a terrible experience. We ended up staying and trying to make the best out of a bad situation but overall I'm disgusted and will never be returning again.
We live in Croston which has an abundance of pubs and restraunts. So just don't bother with the Highfield. But being super lazy on the last evening of our Christmas break we ordered to food to collect. The ordering process is really simple. You choose...your collection time and order as you go off the menu. The food is simple enough nacho's, burgers, etc. We ordered mid afternoon and collected at we are only a minuet drive away and the food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Worth mentioning the packaging here no polystyrene trays or plastic bags. Cardboard boxes and paper bags all desinged to to the job correctly, so no damp soggy burgers nacho's or chips. I have always seen the Highfield as McDonalds with a bar, and not my thing. But this service is brilliant and the food really did hit the spot and was really good value. We will use again and recomend the click and collect.
The highfield is always a great place to eat! Our visit today was just as lovely as always! Dave, Elysia and the team have pulled out all the stops for Halloween! The staff were dressed up which was great to see, and fuzzys eds looking...amazing for the occasion! The food was served very promptly and served as always by great staff with a smile on their face!
Excellent Christmas dinner on Christmas Day the food atmosphere and service were fantastic we had a fab time thank you to Elysia and the team we will defo be booking for Christmas Day again
