My wife stumbled across this place one evening and it had a line out the door. We tried several times to get in, but always had a long wait. We finally got in early one day and we see why they always have a line. First off, it's small and only seats maybe 30 and second the food was AMAZING! I've had good sushi and I've had great sushi, but this was elevated to simply outstanding!Unlike most restaurants where you order your rolls and they bring it all at once, here you sit at the bar and the chef makes it in front of you and puts it on your plate. When you finish one, he hands you the next one so your food is never sitting. It's prepared when you're ready to eat it. And the creativity of some of the pieces were incredible. This is now my absolute favorite sushi place in the metroplex, which I don't say lightly. It's that good.

A Hidden Gem for Handrolls and MoreHatsuyuki Handroll Bar is an absolute delight for sushi enthusiasts. I went for lunch and was immediately impressed by the warm, friendly ambiance and quick, attentive service. The crispy nori, well-seasoned sushi rice, and generous fillings make for a memorable handroll experience. The Seared salmon belly nigiri was a revelation—it simply melted in my mouth. I opted for the 5 hand roll selection and the crab roll stood out as a clear favorite. Pro tip: don't miss out on their secret menu, which features an A5 Wagyu handroll that's not to be missed. If you're a fan of high-quality sushi and handrolls, Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

I love sushi and have eaten at a number of restaurants in the DFW area trying to find the place to go to satisfy my tastebuds as I am very picky in regards to sushi. Some of my top places are Shinjuku Station, Uchi, Uchiba, and Little Lilly’s but this place is by far my favorite for sushi. There is something about the quality of the fish and how it is prepared that cannot be replicated and seriously just sings in my mouth when I eat it. I swear, I come out of this place with a huge smile on my face. There is always a line and it is expensive but all of it is well worth it.

It was my first time at Hatsuyuki and first time in Texas. My friend took me to this spot and staff there was warm and welcoming, like many of the Texan locals I met. Food was delicious and priced well compared to New York. If/when I return to Fort Worth, I will definitely return to Hatsuyuki!Food: 5/5
