I am Korean and have to say this will be forever ingrained in my memory as one of the worst Korean restaurants we ate at. I hate to leave a bad review but feel like I need to warn others. First the rice in the bowls were not from freshly prepared rice and was lukewarm, messily served into the bowls, and filled halfway. Seriously, I've never seen such bad rice bowls!Second, there was a piece of plastic in the dweji bulgogi as the employee was about to cook it on the hot plate. She apologized and took it back, "said" she exchanged it but I have no idea if she really did. The banchan looked really old, the gamja jo rim (potatoes) tasted like days old! The shi gimchi (spinach) was mixed with old brown leaves and I was scared to eat it. The banchan was also served very messily and the kimchi scared me. Growing up Korean, I have heard of restaurants that will reuse people's uneaten banchan and serve it to others. Staring at that dish of kimchi made me think of that, as it looked like a bunch of leftovers had been thrown into the dish, and so I was too scared to try it.The worst dish of the dinner was the kimchi jigae soup. I have never tasted something so salty, sour, bitter, and off. There was something really strange in that soup, and I could not put my finger on what exactly it was, thought it was some chemical flavor, and I was scared to consume it. So, I barely touched it. Employees are friendly but not Korean, except for the owner ahjummah. I wonder if the chef is even Korean. Also, my gut instinct told me to walk out when I arrived, but my son kept whining about being hungry. What set this warning flag? The interior of the restaurant is really shabby and dirty. It looked filthy. I am sorry I left such a bad review but I need to warn others. This is not a true representation of good Korean food. I highly don't recommend this place.
