Hachi is as good as it gets in NJ. My wife and I eat out 4x per week. Of these occasions, we have sushi twice a week, usually at either sushi of Gari in NY, HAMA, or at Nobu. While the sushi dishes at Hachi are more 'mainstream ' basics I must say that the freshness and taste of the sushi is no less appealing than that in restaurants in NY whose prices are three, four, 5 times the price here. Have a nice salad and try the Miso with clams. At most NY restaurants you may be blessed with 2-3 Manila Clams. Here the soup tastes like fresh Miso with clam broth and is loaded! The Uni is super fresh as is the Toro and Yellowtail. Maguro is nice and steak-like and their spicy scallop roll is to die for. Honestly considering the only nearby restaurants are a pizza joint and the Red Oak Diner for $125 two people can absolutely pig out with sushi as fresh as anywhere in NYC mid-week! Dont forget to BYO from the liquor store across the lot. This is a real awesome find for Fort Lee and blows away the wanna-be more trendy places in Englewood.
