We wound up at the Gschirwirt by default. It was Sunday night and this was the only restaurant we could find. There were no individual tables available so we shared a larger common table. The menu was about what you would expect for a large Gasthaus. I had the Steirer Backhendlsa entree and my wife the small Wienerschnitzel. Both were large and of good quality. We shared a beer and a large bottle of mineral water. The total bill came to 25,80€. Service was rushed, but efficient. The atmosphere typical for this type restaurant. We can recommend it for every-day eating.

The menu was a special Christmas menu. Many of our party of 7 had the Weinerschnitzel which we all rated as very good. We had the special Christmas beer by Steigel which we also enjoyed. The main draw back was the language barrier. One of the members of the party spoke some German, but the staff was reluctant to speak any English. Recommend taking a good translation tool with you

We visited as Leeds were playing a pre season football match at the nearby stadium. The people are really friendly and the service excellent, and genuinely warm. Great beer sat outside and the local food was perfect.

Not a fancy place but the quality is great. The salad with prawns a great option, as the cordon blue Home made apffel strudel was superb. Great value for money!
