Have visited Grizzly’s many times over the years, and always enjoyed the ambiance. BUT this evening was totally rubbish. Ordered our drinks and sat enjoying the music from the bar, when suddenly we were bombarded with a loud football commentary from the TV screens. Ajax and Dortmund playing! Families and couples were trying to enjoy their meals and drinks impossible to ignore the football. I’m sure most people there didn’t want to hear or see it. Bar Grizzly needs to decide if it’s a sports bar/ restaurant/ bar and who their clientele are. Not everyone wants tv screens and football commentary with their meals and drinks.
It’s just such a great place! What makes it special is the staff! The manager and her daughter Amber and all the staff make you feel so welcome whenever you go in! The food is excellent and such good value! It may be on the main road but this is an advantage when you are walking from or to Calpe from Benissa Costa and they have made it feel secluded! The atmosphere is fantastic and I would highly recommend visiting. We’ve had so many great times there! Can’t wait for this July!
Obviously in times like these you have to make allowances for Covid and difficult staffing levels, however, there really shouldn't be any excuse for serving cold food. The bun was still half-frozen and what had thawed, was wet, the burger was still frozen in the middle. What's difficult to understand is that there are very few restaurants like this in this area and if the food was good they would really corner the market.
Nothing terribly positive to say. The staff were quite indifferent. Service was very slow and to be fair food was nothing to write home about. Wouldn’t return.
