"Beautiful food. We had 4 mains to choose from and ordered the fish, the chicken and the steak. All the dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty. The only negative was the noise in the dinnig area because of the hard floor and the sound from all the people. We would definitely go back again."

This is a pretty refreshing place to lunch; small for covers, about 40, wooden floor which makes for bistro noise, very vibrant staff talking the scene, pouring rain outside, wintry thoughts (for a subtropical city), tables rapidly filling, no fuss but getting the job done by waitstaff, immediate attention, wine comes with plates; so the place was humming on a good note. Fab actually.Menu was a blackboard-so daily, gives chef opportunity to show diners what a flexible kitchen can do in Brisbane city (George Street); this is plugged as a French place. Not really, as one who travels annually thru regional France, I'd say more gastro pub/ provincial European, trifle Asian, so really own modern style without cultural brandings. But good; obviously twice cooked pork chop on mushy peas, jus, Dutch carrots tops on (edible then), and daughter ate light with a noodle salad, clean lines, bright greens, dressing subtle.Wine selection changes like the menu; gives customers good service because all glass offering; from smart regions across our continent (and a very local one is coming); drank Great Southern riesling, curiously oaked too. Based on the previous reviews by "tripsters", we thought that it was worth a try! We were not disappointed and all really enjoyed our separate lunches (fried chicken and the pork dish). The only improvement that we agreed about was for more options on the menu as some of the group have food (meat) restrictions due to religious beliefs. But overall the food, ambience and service was faultless. Keep up the great work.

This hidden gem on George St is a must do. The boys behind Happy Boy have put this place together & it did not disappoint. Located up a discrete staircase between a strip club (don't be scared off by this) and a chemist The exposed brick & stark loft like styling are on pointWines are eclectic Food was delicious, albeit a little bit on the pricey side

Just perfect: elegant and simple decor which is perfect for the location and outstanding service. As good as that is the wine list perfectly selected and the simple menu genius! Calamari salad a perfect score and the rose wine suggested by the waiter the perfect companion to the dish. Can't wait to return!
