The two things that caused them to lose a star was 1. I’ve never liked the practice of adding gratuity even when it’s only two people. It’s stops being a tip at that point and you guarantee that I won’t tip anymore. I usually do 20-25% but they gratted me at 15%. 2. There were a few huge gaps in time between them checking on us which left us waiting to order more, get a Togo box or pay our tab. Now for all the good stuff. The bao burgers they have were delicious. We had the pork and the short rib. The miso soups were great. I got the Japanese old fashioned and it was made perfectly. For our entree we had the pad Thai and the Mongolian beef with the short rib and both were excellent. Our waiter was super nice and had a great attitude. The spicy tuna roll was perfect.
Had dinner the other night and was blown away! I don’t normally come to Doral, but a friend just moved there so decided to try this place! We had an assortment of dishes and shred them the Korean fried chicken, Black Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, Rising Sun Roll, Crab Avocado Salad and more! The Chef came and spoke to us about the dishes and the staff was so attentive and nice! Let me say that the ramen was out of this world! The broth was so flavorful, but not too heavy. The Korean fried chicken was a little spicy for me, but also cooked perfectly. The sushi and salads were so fresh and you can tell the chef puts a lot of care into each dish. They have a unlimited brunch on the weekend that’s $35 and I will be back to check that out soon!
I came to Sesame for dinner and I absolutely loved it! I hadn't been to Green Plate, their previous concept, so I can't compare to that, but I can say that I really loved Sesame! We tried several of their hot and cold appetizers as well as ramen and some cocktails. The cocktails were really creative, cute, and DELICIOUS! I loved Godzilla's Punch and would recommend that one for sure. So tasty and Instagram worthy. For appetizers, my favorites were the pork belly bao burger, and Korean fried chicken. I also really loved the Tonkotsu ramen! The decor was also awesome great vibes. Free parking in the parking lot as well! I can't wait to come back and highly recommend this spot!
I went there for Sunday brunch with my wife. We ordered most of the items on the brunch menu and they were all phenomenal. Especially the Hokkaido tartare and nippon montadito!! The staffs are wonderful people. It's a really comfortable place for dinning and price is reasonable as well.
