Back in 2010 my brothers and I were preparing my parent's house to sell. We discovered Grapevine Pizza just down the road, and made many trips there! The pizza was fantastic, and they even had Michelob Amber Bock beer on tap!Fast forward to present day. Since I don't live in the area, I have not been back until until last evening. I should have known something had changed when I saw the empty parking lot. Ordered a large sausage and mushroom pizza and my wife got a philly steak sub and french fries. Good news first. . . the french fries were fantastic! Probably the best fries I have had in recent memory. But the philly steak was horrible. Who puts RAW green peppers on a philly steak? Yuck! And the cheese was almost non-existent. The pizza had great crust and toppings, but there was almost NO SAUCE! It ruined it for me. I would like to have seen what the pizza looked like after they applied the sauce. . . or maybe they forgot? And say goodbye to the Amber Bock! Our server had never heard of it. A real disappointment.
Terrible!! First we ask for waitress to clean table… never happened that should have been our first sign. We ordered potato skins cauliflower gluten free pizza with ice tea. Order arrived and skins were warm and over baked but ok. The pizza was terrible crust was raw and looked like it had been very poorly put together. We ate enough to curb the appetite left the rest. I had to ask for refill of tea, she never bothered to ask if hubby would like more sweet tea. When ready to leave we again had to ask for the check and she never bothered to ask how everything was even though most of pizza was left on cardboard plate. Given our experience we won’t be back. The bill was 41.92 tip. Side note they were not real busy but the bar guests were extremely loud. I guess this is place to go for a good time but not for the food!
Grapevine is a new go to for us and I'm not sure why it took so long for us to try it !Our pizza go tos in Pickerington have been Gionino's , Corner Bar and Grill, Pizzaronis(miss them) and NY Pizzeria (love their Stromboli).However Grapevines crust is delish!! Crispy , flaky , great toppings .We ordered off the app and believed we were ordering a large 1/2 ATW and 1/2 pepp. However it was all ATW with extra pepp on half . They fixed it and got us a small pepp at no charge .We also had their wings hot honey garlic they were great and everyone loved the sauce .Definitely will be ordering from them again.If you want to order a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza I'd probably call them . The app is easy to use but wasn't intuitive on how to correctly order a 1/2 1/2 pizza .
Atmosphere is good but if I were running a place like this, going to foam plates and plasticware is not a good look. It makes you think they are hurting financially. Surely a 3 compartment sink and a couple green pads is cheaper in the long run.
