We visited Giorgio 's for the first time on sat 14th oct as we were watching a show just down the road and I was treating my husband for his birthday! We arrived a little late due to traffic but this was no problem, the man who I am assuming is the owner or general manager welcomed us and then walked off, leaving us stood for about 5 minutes wondering what 's going on. We could clearly see how busy the restaurant was and how short staffed they were but it was a little frustrating as we were restricted for time! The manager came back over to the desk and just went 'you two, there ' and pointed at a table and just walked off.. no showing us to our table or giving us menus. We were sat there for 15 minutes before someone noticed we hadn 't been given any menu 's or even our drinks order.. we had menus thrown on to our table and left alone again. Our table was originally booked for 5pm but our drinks food order were finally taken at 5:47pm... again, I appreciate they were short staffed but we were put in a table that was hidden away and witnessed other customers come in after us and served before us and felt like we were forgotten about. Luckily the food came out piping hot and full of flavour! The portion sizes were huge and I couldn 't finish all mine but this wasn 't an issue. If the food wasn 't as good as it was, I would have raised a complaint regarding the service and wait times but it did make up for it. We didn 't have time for dessert as we 'd waited a ridiculous amount of time to even be served, we had to pay and get straight to the theatre! I had to ask for the bill 3 different times and took another total of 20 minutes to be given, then another 10 minutes to wait till they brought the card machine over. All in all, not the best experience but not the worst. I couldn 't help feel guilty for the rest of the night as I felt like it spoilt my husbands birthday.

Put simply, Giorgio 's not only had the best tasting food during my and my boyfriend 's short stay in Manchester, but were also by far and away the most accommodating and friendly! When we walked in it was clearly extremely busy, yet the front of house staff quickly ushered us over to a small table in the back corner where we were asked to look at the menu while they cleared a more suitable dining space for us, which occurred mere minutes later. The food was phenomenal. Now granted, neither of us have tried authentic Italian before, however we 're pretty sure it 's about as good as it gets! If you 're concerned about the price (as we were, this was very much a treat for us), then the Pre-Theater menu is definitely one to consider, and was in fact where we ordered from. The complimentary garlic bread served before our starters was so good it has now ruined garlic bread for us, as we know we shan 't be having anything that good for a while now, and both of our starters and mains were absolutely to die for. The portion sizes were more than generous too, resorting to us having to ask for the rest of our meal to be put into 'to go ' containers! To the staff at Giorgio 's, (I wish I was better at remembering names! My apologies) thank you so much for a truly wonderful experience. Should we ever find ourselves in Manchester again you can bet we 'll be planning our trip around a second visit!

Great Italian food and service and we had been before BUT the prices have sky rocketed and too expensive. Ribs for starters £9.95 very tasty but not enough for the money. Only 3 ribs with little on them. Main course Lasagna again great food but £16.95 a bit steep. Would have had Steak but at over £34 Errr no! Other than that a good Italian restaurant! The prices may stop us again.
