We were out looking for a nice evening meal and walked by TGFR’s large front window for the carry out part of the restaurant. It was hopping. We noticed that there was a sit down part of the restaurant right next to it but not connected. We looked in and there was only one table open and we did not have bookings: no problem, they said to take that table. It was only once we were inside that we noticed there is another section of dining upstairs. It is a small place that runs like clockwork. We both have food allergies: no problem. We had the smoked salmon trio without the pate, broiled halibut and hake with the chips and rocket. Cooked perfectly. Asked the waiter to bring a nice mellow whisky because I am not familiar with all the local options and it was also excellent. The wait staff were well organized and worked well together. Our waiter was top notch.I would not hesitate to recommend this compact restaurant for an oversized amount of satisfaction.

on Sunday the lunchtime flown into this restaurant and we both had the george st high tea, which was excellent squid and chips with tee or coffee. the fish and chips muddy peas and tartaric acid sauce were excellent and the price-performance ratio excellently served all in a very nice restaurant. the menu had many excellent fish dishes that this restaurant raised to more than just a fish and chip restaurant. very recommended this excellent restaurant.

soggy chips, average fish. the superb taste of everything was the oil in which it was cooked. disappointment, we have better and cheaper fish and chips in de landlocked leicestershire.

Moist flaky white fish. Scampies were good too. Take away as the restaurant was full. But good food none the less
