It's been a while since we dined at Gem, prices increased since last visit but reasonable for a waterfront spot. The restaurant is clean with polite staff. Suggestions: have something better than a copy paper packet with a staple for your menu. Also, if you have a party of 5 or more, offer to combine tables instead of the customer just getting an extra chair themselves from another table, especially if the entire indoor dinning area is empty. Other than that, the food was enjoyable. There's a great view of the intracoastal water way in the back but there's some work being done and barriers are up, deterring from the scenery. This is probably not in their control but something to keep in mind if you're going for the view and may want to eat outside.
I went there alone for the oysters since they advertised on their website that they had happy hour oyster on Thursday. I called them 2 times and no one picked up so I just went there without the reservation. It was very difficult to find parking since this restaurant is under an apartment building and there was no sign for the restaurant's parking space. The server did not let me sit outside saying that I needed to make a reservation to do so. Then there were 2 white girls came saying that they dont have reservation. The server got the table outside for them! (The table was empty since I came in It was a terrible experience.
Delicious home made Georgian food. The view is amazing too! We came here for my mother in law’s 80th birthday and we had a blast! Seat outside if the Esther is good, order the cashew sauce chicken and the spinach and beet mashed with walnuts and the fish empaled on a sword too. And the fries, everything there tasted amazing and they even had some funny dancing and live music. We loved this place and can’t wait to show it to the rest of the family!
Excellent food and amazing views. We had hachepuri (Georgian cheese bread), branzini and some appetizers. Everything was delicious and filling. The service was mostly good, a bit slow to order but after ordering the food was brought very quickly. i am in miami
