We had a family dinner in this restaurant in a small German town called Stadtallendorf, about 2 hours north of Frankfurt am Main. The restaurant does not look spectacular from the outside, you actually have to go through an entrance in a hedge and a pretty ugly staircase down to get to the basement of a hotel. However, if you enter the restaurant, the ambience is really pretty. The whole restaurant is equipped with old dark furniture, there are not only chairs, but also sofas to make the place cozy. The staff is young and very friendly, especially the big dark-haired guy who is not only the waiter, but also the cocktail mixer tries to fulfill any wish you could have. The food is presented modernly with Balsamico Splatters on the edge of the plates, rather small to medium portions to leave space for more. I would rather call the restaurant iself a high standard restaurant (not only because of the prices that are quite high), but also because of the whole presentation of the food etc. Children are obviously welcome and accepted as there was a family with a small boy and the staff did not say a word than the child was quite loud and crawling around on the floor. All in all I think it's a nice restaurant for all occasions. Try and ask for a table with sofa, it is really comfortable and beautiful!
