We were taken her by a local family, to enjoy an evening with Kasnocken, a speciality of the area. It was prepared the way it should, with Pinzgauer cheese and browned onion rings. Everyone eats from one giant pan, 'sociable dining' to a new level... There's also lots of other dishes to choose from, if cheese is not your thing. Those who like cheese, will love the Guggenbichl Kasnocken. Unpretentious, warm and welcoming - a must visit -if you can find it on the hillside above the village of Kaprun. A small minus on smoking allowed in the restaurant. But then again, this is Austria, where smoking is allowed in restaurants. Ask for a non smoking area.
