Took our friends here who we were showing around German Christmas Markets. Never been here in December and it is really nice. Lindau itself has a great market. We ate inside this time and the interior of the restaurant is very neat and charming. I...came in early to make reservations and they were busy as usually so it took a while to get someone's attention but they took my reservation and when we returned they gave us one of the best tables in the house! We all had the Reh Rucken, which I think is the best meal here and the best Reh Rucken in the world. So tender and tasty. There was plenty of food for all of us. Yes it is pricey but it is oh so worth it! Ordered two sides of Red Cabbage and I think we all had a very hard time getting up after we ate everything. Dessert was good also. Staff was very friendly. Always recommend this place and we eat here every time we come to Europe. It's like a tradition
A lot of good restaurants are closed after o'clock in the afternoon. This was one of the only ones which had a kitchen that was open all afternoon. This wasn't our first choice but we were late and needed lunch. The location of the...terrace is nice on a hotspot in old town Lindau. Personnel was fast and did there job. Kaisersmachen were very tasteful and a good portion. The typical german dish which my girlfriend had, spaetzle, was mainly a big portion and the taste was just okay. Prices were okay. For a quick meal this restaurant is fine
PET FRIENDLY. In the center of Lindau is a pleasure getting lunch outdoor on the wood table in front of the restaurant on the other side of passage. Normal Bayern kitchen, wurst and other classic dishes. Good beer and good cleaning. Service a little distract...and long time to get the food. Not all the waiters are speaking other language other than German. This is quite unacceptable in a location with tourist coming from all over the world
There are so many of these places offering traditional dining. This one is fine . Good quality food if somewhat limited. I had Entrecote steak with crispy onions and Bratkartoffelen. Really authentic atmosphere etc.etc. Incl. beers our bill came to for people, about...average. Nicely situated in town centre and staff were efficient
