We elderly English visitors were in Austria for the first time and were tired and hungry and cold. This restaurant cured all that. A hot stove warmed everywhere in the comfortable dark bar. The waitress showed us the specials. I chose wiener schnitzel which we could hear being thoroughly flattened by the large chef in the kitchen. It was accompanied by a sauerkraut, gherkin, potato, pepper salad and was delicious. My wife had the baked goulash; not goulash as in a stew but the very tender and tasty meat in little savoury packets accompanied by lettuce and potato. Both were very generous portions. Both were washed down by dark beer. ( I found the wine in Vienna in general far too expensive and the beer far too nice). We went back two days later and the food was still excellent and we got a smile from the owner! We always got smiles and super service from the waitress!

at heidinger, both classical and unusually interpreted, are served as well. who already combines sparingly with blood sausage, or offers "baked gulasch"? There are well-picked beer (as a speciality the great "Hasel-Bräu" from the small wooded brewery haselböck from münichreith.) originally, the day/season card is placed on a chalkboard directly in front of the guest table. The facility is somewhat worn out and apparently demands overhaul. Nevertheless, the gas house is heavily frequented so that a reservation is to be recommended. I always like to go to the heidinger.

I cannot recommend this locally. eating is at best moderate and totally overpriced for the quality it offers. after baked, I got bad every time. the oil is likely to have a lot behind it. the salat is a gatsch from the 20-kilo plastic bowl. the service is bad and after 21 o'clock will only be served more reluctantly because the advertisers want to go home.

... when we were in the hotel lucia around the corner. on the first day too late (soon from 21.00 clock no warm kitchen anymore,) then too. I wonder how to keep up with "saturday, Sunday and holidays".
