Ganges - Table reservation

Seduced by a menu through the door, we decided to give the Ganges a whirl. We tried the lamb kabuli and chicken chettinad with bhaji, samosa and paratha. All absolutely delicious and arrived piping hot. Our only quibble is that there is no information about allergens unless you phone up to enquire. It can be pretty disheartening to get excited about a dish, only to discover you can’t actually eat it. So many restaurants carry allergen guidance these days, so I’d urge the Ganges to consider adding guidance to their online menus as food allergies and intolerances are so common and such a feature would enable more customers to order with confidence and enjoy your amazing food! Times are tight and takeaway is a rare treat but this was a huge disappointment. I ordered delivery last night and one dish (Malai Murgh Tikka) was just completely plain flavourless dry chicken with onions. I was surprised as my partner’s chicken Karahi was very nice and we have had good food from them before. I called the restaurant as surely something has gone wrong here. I was told “there is nothing I can do” and offered 20% off my next order. That is useless as I will not be ordering from you again. He clearly could not care less. We paid £11.50 for this terrible dish and had also given a tip. At the very least I wanted a replacement or refund but that was not happening. consistently great eating (the wobble bahjis are for dying! plus delivery is fast and very friendly
