Gan Shan West - Table reservation

Great place to grab a delicious dinner! You just order and pay at the counter, then they have a whole cute seating area outside with plenty of tables. I got the pork ramen and it was delicious!! They also have tons of unique beer and sake options. Theonly downside is that I wish the menu warned about spiciness levels...the person I was with ordered the chicken ramen, and shecould barely finish it because it was so spicy, while the pork ramen wasn't spicy at all. If she knew about that she probablywouldn't have gotten it.

Super delicious and flavorful dishes, and they usually have some fun specials available as well. Like most places, eat in the restaurant if you can (or at the brewery next door) for the best food texture/presentation, but most dishes are great to-go aswell. The people there have been friendly and prompt every time I?ve gone. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants inAVL!

Very authentic...and that's coming from a 3 generation family that grew up cooking Szechwan and many years living in China. The Mapo doufo is the real deal and not for the uninitiated. I never order mapo in a restaurant since I make it at home butreconsidered when I saw they were using Mrs. Chiang's cookbook... Everyone in my family has a copy.

Ordered takeout and enjoyed next door at Archetype Brewing. We had ramen (Spicy Beef and Pork) and some pickled sides (Szechuan Cucumber and Kimchi). Portions are more than generous and filling. Very flavorful broths and the meat was tender andunctuous. Come hungry!

We are regulars here. Really good food and super convenient to have it dropped off at archetype brewing. Super easy and tasty
