Brought my uncle here for his 78th birthday. He was stationed in Korea with the army and loves Korean food. We shared an order of mandu dumplings. My uncle had the spicy pork and kimchi stew, I had the galbi bibimbap in the hot stone bowl, and our meal came with 5 banchan small side dishes. My uncle was very happy with the meal. The bibimbap was very good. I loved the crunchy, caramelized rice at the bottom of the hot stone bowl. Food is a little on the pricy side the bbq combo prices must be for a group as they were $100+. We’ll plan to come back and try the Mon Fri lunch specials.
I'd give this a 4.2. I found the service to be very slow, to the point that at times I found myself looking around to try and find someone to attend to us. And there weren't that many patrons there eating. But the food was that good!!! I was very impressed with the flavors and the accompaniments that were offered. Excellent in every aspect when it came to the execution of the dishes and the taste.
We came to my Dad's fave restaurant.. wanting to pay respect to our Dad, visiting his fave places to eat.. Our service is superb; the owner is so sweet.. that's why my Dad loves it here.. Remembering the footsteps
Good food, as authentic as it gets in the US. Worth the drive from DC since the city doesn't have any Korean restaurants that are worthy. Prices reasonable, friendly professional staff, wide variety of dishes.
