I was looking for a traditional pub for a bit to rest, have a nice beer and enjoy them hot pub eating. that looked like this place. had a fry, as it was Sunday was not sure I ever tasted English frying. pour the bark roast, the meat, the sauce and the carrots. the only thing that was not in order was the "blue cheese" croquettes, because it didn't taste like blue cheese, it didn't even taste like cheese, so the 4 stars. the waiter was kind, he even led me through my order, and the environment is exactly what they want to find in an English pub. beautiful tables, private rooms and very comfortable chairs, I hope that I have the opportunity to return to a day it was expensive, but perhaps at the price for and English roast in london. they have about 15 different taps and have common things like peroni, estrella and guiness

this beautiful pub, located in the hotel with the same name, has a traditional, dark wood, cozy feeling. the bar they first enter is narrow with limited seating, but there is an additional space on the back and an dining room on top. the pub has a smithfield market license and is therefore open and can operate alcohol, hotel dwellers and non-residents from 7 o'clock. they also offer an excellent full English breakfast. friendly staff, large selection of real ales craft beer; this is a fabulous pub.

This is an excellent pub right near The Charterhouse and Smithfield market. It's not too far from St. Paul's. It's certainly worth a visit if touring around the area. There are some fantastic pubs in the area away from the main tourists ones near St. Paul's and this is definitely on the list. We had stopped by on a pub crawl in the area and really liked the building and also the fact it was off the beaten track. I would come back for a pint or few next time I'm in the area.

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere, good drinks on offer and the food was great (I had the burger and chips). Enjoyed the company of regular patron Alan (who has the best stories and is an absolute legend) and the arrival of a dog was the icing on the cake. Would like to highlight the service from the wonderful Erika and Agne who made me feel very welcome and were both very helpful. Would definitely go back again!
