Fogo De Chão Brazilian Steakhouse

I 've been to Fogo in Manhattan numerous times. My friend found a Prisoner Wine pairing event so we went. I 'd have to say I was torn. Here are my positives negatives: Pros ambiance, most of the servers were professional and courteous, food was as good as the Manhattan location. Cons bartender not being too courteous to my party, we were the only 2 that didn 't get water when we sat down then putting his finger up to me when I was simply trying to get his attention. Fogo always had amazing service, but I didn 't feel that here from some. During my dinner one of the waiters was coming around to collect the used plates. My fork was on my plate obviously because I wanted a new one for the next course. He picks up the plate with the fork then proceeds to drop my fork back onto my table. Hard enough that the fork rolls over the table. So I looked at him and he says Oh did you want another fork? Dumb...just dumb. This being said, everyone else was amazing and created a professional atmosphere that you can feel. I am very critical of my surroundings when attending an event like this paying a decent amount of money. Some might not think the way that I do but this is my analytical side coming from the bar/restaurant industry for many years.

Service food experience was significantly different this time vs the consistency that kept us returning. Drinks arrived incorrectly, we received 2 sides instead of all that normally are provided. When asked for them, it took a very long time for them to arrive. Not all of us opted in for the full experience, but it took quite a while for meat service to begin and when it did there was not a typical variety and We had to ask for the check 3 times before someone actually helped us. We did dine in a different area, which could be why we experienced this maybe top notch servers/wait staff is not assigned there and maybe is overlooked. I wasn't clear who our server actually was and I'm not sure they did either. There was one employee who was regularly stationed in our area, so I'm not sure if its fair to assume it was her but she was either new or oblivious (hence asking for check multiple times, etc.

Good meal. Food is pretty good comparatively to other brazilian steakhouses. I do regret that there were no sauces at the market table to have alongside the meats. There was also an hour as to which no server with any form of beef came by and my partner got a little frustrated (however there was a good 80 people who has just walked in from an event).

I went to Fogo de Chao for my anniversary and the experience there was perfect. Luis was my server and he is the best. Attentive and knowledgeable.

Everything was outstanding from the moment we arrived to when we left.
