the evaluation system is pretty stupid for me because they can only give 5 stars when the place is full of vegan or vegetarian, and this place is worth 5 stars. an incredible range of options, including amazing soul food that they just miss as vegan. the tante Jackie’s rib is my absolute favorite, and it’s crazy how delicious it is. it can be quite expensive, which is a bit, but honestly it is so good that I really don't care (and I am often concerned about prices). If they didn't try to go easy! there are regular meat options as well, so they can even eat their meat friends and get them to try some delicious vegan food.
my friend and I ordered the vegan wings, the vegan ribs and the vegan chicken quesadilla. we also have cocktails that were strong af! the wings had grest tasted, we sat them in buffalo sauce with a side of the Thai Chile sauce. I wish they were craspier, but they were good. the ribs and the quesadilla were phenomenal. we had old bushes and cauliflowers as our sides, which went perfectly with the ribs. both main dishes were tasteful and had great texture. I'll go back there. the service was also very friendly.
I first enjoyed eating out of the flight on the vegan crabcake cookoff and voted for their takeover of a crabcake (they have won that I have eaten them since then! I went as part of the vegan restaurant week, and they had their vegan crab balls. as I understand, they are not part of the regular menu, but should be because they are delicious! they had just sold out wings (saw because they looked amazing), but we tried a series of other things as their bbq ripen. this place is amazing! a hidden gem!
I'm sure we'll come back here. everything was pretty good. had a few of the Pita wraps that were huge, tante jackie’s ribs and wings. the wings, while really good, are more like chicken pliers. but not complaining. everything was really delicious. one of the better vegan menu sections I've seen. have not tried the vegan dessert looks like they have at least one, so maybe next time. it is worth checking in every case!
