Went through Stade, a small beautiful German hanseatic city, an early night to find a place to eat. Everything was closed, but in a narrow alley we found Fischhus Stortebeker. The host was so friendly and invited us in. We could choose from a showcase with fresh fish. We eat a homemade fish soup and various fried fish fillets. We have the best roasted apples I've ever eaten in Germany as ancillary dishes. It was wonderful, and the host proudly showed us his newly renovated banquet facilities, in the 250 year old house. It would be a dream for me to celebrate my 70th birthday in this wonderful environment. We can only recommend this cozy place to others. When you visit Stade, you have to eat fish in this restaurant. There is also a guest house with rooms to rent, but we did not see these facilities.

Unlike many restaurants, Fischhus Stortbeker has no menu in the traditional sense. Instead you will be invited to fish (and possibly meat, but we had all decided to make fish and your choice from today’s availability. For diversity (or greedy! You can have a cooking selection of 6 different types of fish, all beautiful and gently roasted. The meal begins with a beautiful and refreshing mixed salad, then comes the fish (or meat and some delicious fried potatoes and bacon. Service is NOT fast we were sat for almost 2 hours, but is charming. The beer is fabulous (and at 23 € for the meal, with beer, wonderful value also).

The fish cough storks offer an excellent selection of fish and meat dishes as well as a selection of salads. The dining rooms are all atmospheric and the service is very friendly! The restaurant also has some single and double rooms, which are quiet as the restaurant is located on a side street to the fish market.

because the hoist needs to wait a moment in the cooler himself, there is a question the fresh and the speed of the kitchen but also nothing to mecker. the homemade kartoffel salad is the crowning! simply very tasty and wonderfully uncomplicated! simply try out!.
