We visited during our holiday as had seen some signs for this place in St. Pompon. When we arrived we were asked if we had booked, which we hadn’t. The lady then set about setting a table up for us. The restaurant at this point only had one other table of people seated. I speak French, so was able to order for the family and we had 3 adult menus and 1 child. The service was very hit and miss- I had to ask for glasses for our wine and soft drinks-we’d used the glasses on the table for the water. I also had to ask for bread, although this was being placed without asking on other tables. However, service aside, the food was excellent! Pate, local ham and melon to start, and duck and pork for main courses. The meat was melt in your mouth tender and so tasty. The menu had states that vegetables accompanied the dishes, and we had sautéed potatoes which were also lovely. Not sure if we should have had anything else too, but oh well! All the family really loved the food here and it was a different experience to other places we have eaten in this holiday! I would advise to book in advance and also be able to speak enough French to order the food!
