We went there for a birthday celebration with dear friends who go there quite often. They commented that the wine cellar is amazing and the food is average. They were not wrong. Sadly we had a very poor level of service took an hour...and a half to get our salad starter. My husband and I went for the fillet steak which was already sliced when it arrived. We were so hungry we couldn't be bothered to complain and possibly wait another hour for a replacement it was ok quality. Just not representative of the cost. Others had the pork and a schnitzel which were much better value and quality. The wine cellar is the most incredible thing I have ever seen. The staff were friendly and quite laid back. I would go again to try the pork as it is such an unusual place. Our friends were disappointed with the slow service. However we had a great time with lovely people. It didn't spoil our evening it was just not as top quality as it normally is
Top notch stay. Perfect stay in a secluded nature. Bird chirping so, mountains, cattle, Wow. Room is immaculate. Awesome views, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, bathroom is spacious with everything you may need. Wifi works fast. Heaven for wine lovers. What a collection they...have got. Mind blowing. Star of the place is Norman the manager. He made sure of every possible comfort available. Breakfast in morning was simply superb and so well organised. Highly Highly Recommended.
Great restaurant, it now is two years we regularly come here and have found only some small flaws that simply make us appreciate the place even more. Local bio fare, great wines and the quiet one enjoys here make even a week end more testful...than many more publicised spots. This is a landgasthof which means a country inn, so don't expect grand hotel treatment. Will be coming back pretty often.
We had an excellent time at the Landgasthof Farnsburg. This restaurant serves fresh organic food, all home made and really high quality. They have a gigantic wine cellar which you can visit and pick your wine. The service was outstanding, and they are very attentive...to kids. Overall we had a really great night and will make sure to visit more often.
