Tried here for the first time and was not disappointed. Growing up with Jamaican parents, Ive eaten Jamaican food since I was little and came here with high expectations that were met. I ordered beef patties, jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtail which were all very delicious and authentic. Their prices are slightly above average, but their portions make up for it. Patties 5/5: One of the best crust I've had on a pattie. A good pattie is all about the outer crust which should be crispy, flakey, and fracture into thousands of crumbs after each bite. Their patties hit the mark and left me with a shirt covered in crumbs. Jerk chicken 4/5: Good flavor, tender and, fairly moist. I generally prefer jerk pork over chicken, but unfortunately they were sold out of pork at the time. Curry goat 4/5: Taste was spot on, but the meat could have been stewed down a little longer to make it fall off the bone tender. Wasn't tough, but I'm used to much more tender pieces of goat. Additionally I would have liked there to be more sauce/gravy. Oxtail: 4.5/5: Highly recommend this dish to Jamaican food newcomers. It's a delicious deep savory umami packed gravy cooked down with tender morsels of tender collagen/fatty/beef tail. Only knock is their recipe is sweeter than what I'm used to. Regardless, this dish served over white rice is truly delicious.
