The food was great and cheap, although there were not many vegetables. However, it took about 30 minutes until the food arrived, and the tea of my friend, who was ordered with other drinks, arrived only when we got the check. They were not very busy, so it should not have been a volume problem. Also the restaurant, while looking fairly clean, smells strongly of a Glade plug-in type chemical fragrance - very unpleasant. Overall, if possible, I would give 3 1/2 stars. Food and helpfulness of the staff was 4-5 stars, but the restaurant and the temporality of the service was 2-3 stars.
This was one of my favorite spots when I used to live in Maryland. I passed it by accident once and decided to go in for a late breakfast. The food was amazing, and Solomon, the owner was very friendly. We sat and talked as he explained to me about the traditions surrounding Coffee in Ethiopia. I liked it so much that I came in about once a month from that point forward. Coming here felt less like going to a restaurant and more like being invited for a meal at a friend's house, complete with homestyle cooking, and lively conversation.
I enjoyed my visit. The server gave enough attention, expected my expectations and was polite. It is not so often that you can see a proactive server in any restaurant that made the service an interesting experience. The place seems like an authentic Ethiopian restaurant. The food was also delicious. I would definitely visit again.
Really good food place. I was on the way somewhere else, but I saw that on my way. Never have Ethiopian food, I decided to give him a shot. Great atmosphere, good food and great service. Will definitley be back and highly recommended!
