the owners of the restaurants enn de spoul welcomed an American who does not speak German, very cordially. fortunately, they and their employees speak excellent English. I can get enough German to decipher the biggest part of the menu and found what I was looking for: jägerschnitzel. it was very good. the restaurant is clearly visited by locals; not on the tourist route. on a lively Friday evening was a group of regular guests in the bar. try the rhenania altbier; it's one of the best. the prices are very reasonable and oriented towards the local (only cash payment, no credit cards). I will try to eat well and return the pleasant hospitality.
when they come in, they mean to have landed in a village pub. if they turn around now, they'll make a mistake. that eating is excellent. in the quieter and large back room there is plenty of space, even for larger groups. We have eaten superbly and the steaks are delicate and grilled to the desired point.The new owner karl is Austrian and is supported by the previous wet. the new owner is pleasantly approaching his guests and has expanded the sortiment by some very good boobs from Austria.The services are of Rhenish serenity with just such charm, always have everything in hand and never lose sight.
the owner, karl, who leads this restaurant for 1-2 years, has everything well in the handle. we were here twice within a week and eating is good as ever. the cerebellum was simply excellently prepared. the kitchen is sometimes a little slow. the previous owner we also met - as hospitable still ask? :-)
