We went for the first time to El Celler d'Argentona this week (Friday 11th Nov 2016). The interior is quite appealing with lots of terracotta features without being overwhelming. We took the 25€ menu. My tuna tartare (which is one of my favorites first courses whenever i go) was without doubt the best tuna tartare ever. My main course was at the same level: a baby piglet that had an amazing flavour and was melting in the mouth. My wife took a dish with the wild boar and was super happy. The lunch included a bottle of excellent Rioja 2012 limited edition that in the bottle shop would be not far from 20€ . The dessert, rice pudding was like my mother used to make it and in addition came with a scoop of homemade ice cream. The owner Angel was very attentive and so were the 2 waiters . all in all, a perfect lunch, thank you Angel.
I went to this restaurant with a large group to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very accommodating and familiar. I had the lamb ribs which were delicious but I wish I had the steak tartar, I tried some of my wife's and it was really good. I also had a bite of fish, which was great. The prices seem a bit high, but I suppose they correspond to the quality appropriately. I also enjoyed the town of Argentona itself, although it was very difficult to find parking.
Went there with friends one night, and then reserved for New Year's Day celebration with 13 family members. The meal with our friends was simply delicious with accurate renditions of classic Catalan cuisine. I would also recommend the restaurant for a special celebration. They did a great job for us on New Year's day as well.
Lovely time with my friends here. Very local and cheap. Staff were friendly and very keen to help us sample local food. Would recommend
