This is a chain restaurant and one of many Mexican restaurants in Torrance. The ambience is way Mexican, including piped in music. The place is clean and seats are comfortable. The service was very good, attentive and cheerful servers. The restaurant is in a mall like setting with plentiful parking, which is important to me. I hadn't eaten there for 4 years and I'm pleased to say there are vast improvements in the facility, service and food The food is a solid B, nothing special but good. The chips were large, not the normal size so you have to break them to dip into the salsa, which was an excellent blend of flavor and heat. . The tacos were robust with stringy beef and ground beef, the burritos were good, the asada burrito was a fav of the group. We had a party of 8 so I lost track of who ordered what as we were at 2 adjacent tables. I know that we all had leftovers. Congrats to El Burrito Jr for the improved everything.
I love this place all locations are great. Go on taco Tuesday get the hard shell chicken tacos. I believe they are 2.50 each on Tuesdays. They are so so good. However I did not like the salsa on this visit way to tomato taste with no flavor or spice. Instead opt for the salsa they give you for the chips to put on ur tacos. The chicken or ground beef are really good. Also the asada quesadilla is really yummy as well. The location in lomita only takes cash. They do have an atm. But I know the atm fees add up. My favorite location is the one on Hawthorne they have great customer service with a very large dining area.
I've always ordered here via Door Dash but never stepped foot in here. Prices are reasonable and my go to is the two bean burrito special with a drink and tostadas and salsa for 10 bucks. Burritos are very filling and if you don't have a big appetite (unlike me) you'll have lunch (or dinner) for two days! Staff was very friendly and efficient in placing my order as I originally ordered it at another location mistaking it for this one. Once I placed my order (in person) it was ready very quickly in 10 min.
Great food and reasonable price. Everything I tried was good. Small dining room, we always do take out. Taco Tuesday is excellent.
