What a disappointment. On Sunday September 11th my friends and I decided to play Edinburgh Golf Course. We were very excited to play the course but our excitement soon became a big disappointment. What a mistake. The round took over 5 1/2 hours toplay. They had a tournament on the course and did not have the courtesy to disclose this information to patrons until we wereon the course, hole 2 and experiencing very slow play. Recently I shared my disappointment with Edinburgh's management andrather than own the issue and offer some kind of consideration for a horribly long round, I got an apathetic excuse. Like anybusiness you learn more about the management on how they handle things that go wrong than when everything is going right. Ifyou have a problem and resolve it for the customer you can earn their business for life. In this case, however, I don't expectto return to play Edinburgh anytime soon. There are a lots of great courses with great management and I will spend my greensfees at those courses.

Great golf course. Ridiculously challenging if you can?t hit it straight-ish. Every hole is bunker left/water right, or bunker right/water left. There aren?t any bail-outs. Fairways are mown tight and immaculate. Greens are fast and firm. The 17th holeisn?t any fun, but it is extremely demanding and very unique. Nobody plays 17 and says, ?You know, this hole reminds me of??.Nobody says that because it?s one of a kind. Great food in the clubhouse. Wonderful chipping/pitching facility. No long walks. It?s a pretty easy walk, actually. Enjoy the challenge.

I thought for restaurant week, it would be a way to experience this restaurant just 3 miles away from home, but the food was average. Walleye fish basket had small pieces of fish with limp French Fries. Cheese curds were tasty with a light breading andcooked well. I feel the server was better than most of the food. Beer selection was good.

The catering company Edinburgh USA has on site, D'Amico Catering, is absolutely wonderful. The clubhouse is classy and quite inviting, especially when you're having a celebration in the banquet hall. This place is clean and overall enjoyable to comehere.
