Great location by the marina, overlooking the sea. Be prepared to cope with whatever the weather might be. There is a bit of a protected corner but it’s mostly outside standing around high tables. The short menu is focussing on curry sausages and french fries...plus a decent variety of drinks. I love the concept. Simple, not much fuss and everyone hoping that the sea gulls don’t grab the food before you do. If there is anything that would need some fine tuning, it would be the friendliness of the staff behind the counter. It was on the edge to rudeness. And, cash only! At least on the day we were there.
This was my first time to the restaurant and apparently my first time to try the Curry Sausages Even though the weather was terrible for this time of the year yet I could see how customers still come and enjoy a quick snack on the...go. Staff was great, Melanie introduced herself and she followed up to check on how the meal was. I can only say how fresh and tasty were the fries, and the sausages with the special in house made curry and the hot fruit juice are perfect to have in that special view of the Marina bay. Would definitely go back again.
The Currywurst De Luxe was ok, but not spectacular as almost cold and the french fries not crispy at all. Nice location with a view, but long lines so expect to wait and staff of this self service restaurant has an opportunity to work on...their friendliness and customer orientation. Seems that they can afford a level of arrogance given the hype and the price they charge for at the very end a fast food dish.
This iconic treat is a must have!! The sausage has a great texture and their curry sauce is just EPIC!! Even Indians appreciate the taste of this classic german dish. The skewered grilled shrimps are great and their chips are from another world. Great night...snack (if they still have stock) on weekends when partying at the pier.
