We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon for a red wine and something tasty to snack on before we went to have lunch, and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the house broth, which was full bodied and tasty, not your typical watery beef broth. Then we ordered a clam croqueta that tasted like the sea. The owner recommended us a couple of regional wines and told us about the history of the restaurant and his family's other places in town. Nice guy! The next time we are back in Soria I will definitely go back and have something cooked wood oven, suckling pig or lamb, for example.
Ecus is a restaurant located in the old town of Soria, a city in Castilla y León Region. We came here to taste torreznos and wine, and we liked very much the place. So, we returned the day before to dinner a typical regional menu: migas pastoriles (a typical regional dish with fried bread), scrambled eggs with regional mushrooms, cochinillo (roast little pig, another typical dish) and leche frita as dessert. Also we drank an excellent red wine of Appelation Ribera del Duero: Dominoo de Atauta, the best wine I tasted in our travel in the region.
Durante nuestra visita a la ciudad de Soria, escogimos este asador para comer previa reserva. Encontramos poco acogedor el comedor con el horno en una esquina. Servicio correcto También decir que nos pareció un poco caro el precio final de nuestra comida, aunque el asado del cuarto de cordero estaba en su punto.
Hemos acertado con este restaurante. Es acogedor y el camarero que no sé su nombre 5 estrellas. El sabor muy bueno de los platos. Lleno el comedor pero muy ameno. Acierto este restaurante.
