"Had the tofu salad and sashimi bento. You get HUGE portions of quality seafood. Service was meh. Kept on rushing us. The Japanese manager came out and really smoothed things over. Bless her!"

We visited on 11th February. Called day before to make a booking , was told groups of 2 dont need to book ahead but may need to wait. We arrived at 12.30. Got seated straight away, was greeted with a Japanese welcome from the chefs which was nice. Food came quick, staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered Bento Boxes, sashimi and the spider Sushi. We also ordered some deep friend spring rolls and chicken gyoza. Food was absolutely amazing. The Salmon in the bento boxes was the best me and my boyfriend have ever had so tender and flavourful! Overall I can honestly say we had a great time. We visited Japan in 2018 and I can say this spot is very authentic, the decor, service and even the smell of the place was SPOT ON. We got a big dose of nostalgia and reminisced throughout our meal. Great experience Thank you We will deffo return soon!!

Funny little place, but the clue that it 's good is that the majority of the diners are actually Japanese. It 's not sort of 'stage set Japanese ' inside (i.e. Japanese as imagined for the West) but rather actually Japanese which some night find unsettling. Food is equally authentic. Good time to go is a Sunday, when it 's quiet (we went to the Red Lion Street branch and others might be different).

Arrived hungry, alone and in a hurry at 6pm just as they opened. Was immediately greeted by welcoming Japanese shouts (everyone is) and promptly seated, order taken and served. Food was fantastic super fresh, wonderfully prepared and very generous portions. Had salmon sashimi, miso soup, green tea and veg tempura all delicious. Left feeling very well fed and much more human. Many thanks.

Great restaurant. So decently priced for amazing authentic japanese sushi. Me and my friend ended up coming here for dinner 2 days in a row!! The menu is endless with great quality fish. Wasn’t disappointed by anything. For the price, this is the best you could get. If your looking for authentic Japanese sushi this is the place!!!
