I had a similar experience to the recent 1 star review. I booked on line. I was confirmed for a 11:30 am lunch reservation. When we arrived, it was clear they were surprised we were there. We were asked to wait. A manager approached us and said that the e mail confirmation was a mistake but that they would serve us anyway. He further said they only accept one non member reservation per day. It was made very clear in his tone and language that we were not really welcome. It seemed they were trying to create a members only exclusivity which is fine, but then don't set up a means for non members to request a reservation. Also there were very few people at the restaurant 10% of capacity at most; when we were seated we were the only people there. The food was good to great, the setting beautiful, but the service was extremely poor.
