My MIL has been going here for decades and recently ordered a Black Forest Cake for a family gathering. That is not what we received. It was a perfectly fine chocolate layer cake with whipped cream but not what was requested, and a call to the bakery to see if there was a mix-up was responded to with that 's how we make it; if you want cherries in it, you have to ask. Well, by definition Black Forest Cake has cherries and cherry liqueur, so why would I think I have to ask for it? It 's a pretty standard bakery cake. They also don 't know what a Seven Layer Cake is, which is also a fairly standard cake, so I don 't know what 's going on here.
I had to write a review because the taste of this cake deserves it. We ordered the strawberry shortcake with whipped cream. The cake was amazing, it had everything we wanted and more. Thank you for making it so beautiful. I recommend you try them, you will fall in love. I tried all the flavors they offer and they are all great!
Have been going to this bakery since I was a kid and even after I've moved from the neighborhood, I always find an excuse to stop by and buy either a cake, pie or pastry!
