bar dos hermanos was earlier a regular Friday night treatment pre covid, but now under new management, it will not be our regular more. immersed for a Friday night, was immediately shocked as empty it was, but soon saw why. first disappointed. to see the reduced and different drinks choices, especially no earthly white beer, which was also ordered by the next couple that came after us! filz peckish and thought we would go for the tapas that was previously great with a ‘Pick 4’ option, but no more. we chose brot and olive, patas bravos and kissed heap and spinat at almost £4 everyone. when it came, brot was four small pieces with a tiny bowl of bad olive oil and a drop of sweet balsame instead of the previous excellent pieces brot and excellent olive oil with a good dash of quality balsamico (which came free with a pick 4 option). Cartoffels were only roasted with poor tomato sauce, while cherry pebbles float in water thin juice. the taste was not good and the whole was disappointing. high prices, bad quality eating, bad drinks choice means that this from our regular list. a shame that if a place has such a big call, a new owner comes in thought, they know best and ruined any previous hard won call.

Sadly the breakfast was nothing like it used to be. The food is sub standard compared to the great breakfast they offered previously. The service was good, all the team were lovely but the food was at best, average. Sadly there was also no atmosphere...either, I understand with the guidelines it’s difficult to have as many tables but it just felt a little flat.

I’ve been visiting this place on and off for nearly 10years and the level of service has never faltered. Great food, great cocktails, friendly staff and just a really beautiful environment. Plenty of cool artefacts and decorations to admire. The tapas restaurant attached has never...failed to impress. Highly highly recommend for all your social needs

Sadly trying to be something that it’s really not! “Sour dough toast” on the menu was the cheapest white bread going. “Homemade beans” was bog standard cheap beans with a few kidney beans mixed in. Undercooked eggs and anaemic bacon. Avoid!
